Teaching for transformation (TfT)

This is a Christian centered approach that is based on the rationale of integrating the gospel into the curriculum content of any school world over.

Teaching for transformation is not connected to any Christian denomination but rather it fits in any Christian doctrine.

Teaching for transformation core purpose is total transformation of the teacher, learner and the entire community at large.

We believe that integration of the TfT enables the learner to understand that God is found in each subject matter that is taught at school and to work as co-workers with God in the restoration process of the broken world by living the through lines.

Clean Water Provision

We believe that healthy of the pupils is priority in an effort to promote quality education.

The CCAP Education Department has embarked on a project of providing clean and adequate water through drilling of boreholes (water wells) in needy areas. We are working towards providing safe drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene education to the people in Zambia. We work with local partners to set up and manage sustainable water sources.

Construction Projects

These are done in two categories. There are some projects that we do with the help of teams from our partner organizations (EduDeo and World Servants). The second category is done entirely by the CCAP Education Department. In such projects, there are no international teams that are involved. To some extent, the school community is involved and sometimes it’s not involved. Construction projects range from building and renovating classroom blocks, laboratories, teacher houses, toilets and school dormitories.

Orphans and Vulnerable
Children Scholarship

This programme is all about providing scholarship funds for secondary students to enable them to stay in school. The orphans and vulnerable children are identified with the hep of school administrators who knows the children better in their school community.

The CCAP Education Department requests a minimal commitment fee (about 10%) from such students and pays the rest of amount in full, this is done per annum.

Income generating activities
in our schools

Income generating activities are a way for schools to raise money for educational programs. They can also help students develop skills and learn how to make decisions. With the view of empowering schools to be self-sustaining, the CCAP Education Department has embarked on a pilot project so as to empower schools to raise funds to meet their own school administrative costs. We have so far empowered 3 community schools.

ICT Workshops

We conduct computer workshops that are facilitated by our international partners so as to equip our teachers with Information Communication and Technology Skills and content. Some other ICT workshops are facilitated organized and facilitated by our local teachers so as to update and learn from each other. The other project that we do is the distribution of educational materials in the schools of need. Among the materials that have been distributed are books, chalks, computers and desks.

Hands Teams and World Servants

Every year, we host teams from our partner organizations (EduDeo and World Servants). EduDeo. For EduDeo, we host teams that include both the old and youths. Furthermore, depending on the team’s interest and planned activities, the teams normally spend 2 weeks while other teams spend 3 weeks or a month. The teams usually participate in construction works of classroom blocks and teacher houses, conducting information and communications technology trainings as well as cultural exchange activities, with our CCAP teachers. The teams usually lodge at our CCAP Guest House.

Supporting Children with Disabilities

This is a new project that we have embarked on as CCAP Education department in providing and promoting education to the marginalized in society.

We are intending to start operating children with disability unit at Msuzi Primary school.
We have been sensitizing schools and communities on the value of educating children with disabilities and providing for some of their special needs.
We are intending to find a care taker, a cleaner, cooks and a guard who will be specifically working in the unit.
